I went to the Lake District a little too early, this particular year. I was trying to catch the bluebells, but hadn’t factored in such a long winter. Was a bit of a surprise to arrive in teh Lake District in very late April to find the forests pretty bare. Still though, it made for some beautiful wintry shots – pools of light and shadow playing across the snow-tipped fells.
