I’d never heard of this place before this morning – really stunning tarn near Little Langdale. The sky was golden and purple as I raced to get here on time….but the clouds swallowed up the sun, letting only a glimmer through. Still, there was something really serene in the colour and light, the ancient stands of trees and majestic fells behind. Met a lovely couple, a rock climber and a photographer – was nice to while away the freezing minutes chatting, waiting for the sun.
