The sunflowers are in full bloom here in France – great rolling fields of them , like flecks of gold in the patchwork countryside. I wandered through them just after dawn, properly, openly trespassing on a farmer’s land. I’ve picked up bad habits in the Lake District, where you’re encouraged to amble where you like. Don’t think it’s the done thing here : )
